IFFOR Represented at Piracy 101 and 401 Panels during The Phoenix Forum

The adult entertainment industry had said that piracy is one of the major issues to needs to be addressed. Content companies have to deal with this on a daily basis. The technology is constantly evolving, making it extremely difficult to keep ahead of the offending pirates. In an effort to find better solutions through sharing experiences, ideas and procedures, Trieu Hoang, Vice President of Business Development for Abby Winters and chair of the IFFOR Policy Council Piracy Working Group is talking to numerous vendors that provide services from DMCA notification and take down, to watermarking, to cutting off payments to those proven to sell pirated content.

Trieu shared his research and explored possible solutions to the problem during “Piracy 401” panel at the Phoenix Forum.

In addition, Kieren McCarthy, IFFOR Manager of Public Participation, moderated the “Piracy 101” panel. McCarthy is an authority on the Internet and Internet governance. He has spent more than 10 years as an IT journalist.
