Content companies have to deal with piracy on a daily basis. The situation and technology is constantly evolving, making it extremely difficult to be effective. In an effort to find better solutions through sharing experiences, ideas and procedures, Trieu Hoang, Vice President of Business Development for Abby Winters and chair of the IFFOR Policy Council Piracy Working Group is talking to numerous vendors that provide services from DMCA notification and take down, to watermarking, to cutting off payments to those proven to sell pirated content
Siep Kuppens, CEO of IMC, a subsidiary of Sansyl Holding that started to publish erotic magazines in 1968. Siep will discuss the newly formed Adult Content Industry United Foundation (ACI) and talk about ACI’s approach to combating content piracy. Moreover, how ACI is making the financial services industry focus on the problem.
Both will share their research as well as ask for your input, and explore possible solutions to the problem during “Dealing with Piracy: Making Monetization Harder” on Wednesday, March 7 at 4 PM (16.00) at the European Summit in Barcelona (conference agenda).
“I look forward to sharing what I have learnt so far about how to effectively tackle piracy,” Trieu said of the session. “But perhaps more importantly I want to hear from others about their ideas and efforts. Only by working together as an industry can we hope to deal with the problem of piracy.”
