The Internet Watch Foundation today launched its IFFOR-funded research into the motivations, behavior and actions of those who view indecent images of children.
The project is aimed at understanding how sex offenders use the Internet to access and maintain access to child abuse images and videos. And its objective is to use this intelligence to direct resources more effectively in disrupting the online availability of child abuse images and ultimately striving to eradicate this content from the Internet.
The IWF was one of two successful applicants of the IFFOR Grants program.
Update: The organization has posted a news article on its website about the research.
