This time next week, Tuesday 5 February, will be Safer Internet Day, or SID. This year's theme is Online rights and responsibilities, and users with be encouraged to "connect with respect". A large number of events will be held across the world and you can find out more about each at the SID website, as well as register for more information.
Two of IFFOR's core policy goals concern the creation of a safer Internet:
- Promote the development and adoption of responsible business practices designed to combat online child abuse images, user choice and parental control regarding access to online adult entertainment, and;
- Protect the privacy, security, and consumer rights of consenting adult consumers of online adult entertainment goods and services
